In truth, it takes days to explain. Here's the short
version.
A few years ago, I took a hard look at my method
of handicapping. I was already running a successful handicapping
business, and making a few bucks betting, but there had to be a better
way.
Once upon a time, back in the days when Roosevelt
Raceway and Yonkers Raceway were the biggest tracks in the world, I had
made a name for myself as a handicapper for a daily paper called Sports
Eye (now Harness Eye). After 5 years, I went out on my own and sold a
tipsheet, "Pandy's Picks."
During a period of 7 years, my Best Bets at Roosevelt
and Yonkers (picking two Best Bets a night) showed a flat bet profit, ON
PAPER, of over 25%, and never had a losing year. I did this not by
picking a high percentage of winners (about 28%), but by picking

This was documented by a fan of mine. One day I was
giving a handicapping seminar at Brooklyn college, of all places.
Harness drivers Lucien Fontaine and Jimmy Marohn were doing the seminar

Although I was flattered and my ego was exploding, I
also felt kind of foolish. The truth is, I didn't know that because I
didn't keep stats. I knew my picks were doing great--I received a lot of
mail about it. I was also winning a few grand a year, which wasn't easy
because I had a young child and my job really didn't pay that well.
I also didn't quite know how to bottle it. People were
always asking me for advice on handicapping, and I loved writing about
handicapping--still do. It wasn't until a few years ago that I learned
how to organize my method.
A revolution
in handicapping
Initially, the Diamond System was a pen and paper
system. One day it just hit me. I analyzed my thinking process and
realized that I was always subconsciously doing 3 things. 1). I was
looking at final time. 2). I was looking at the three quarter time, and

Here's what you absolutely
need to know about harness wagering that the professional bettors don't
want you to know:
Secret
#1: The profits are in the exotic pools or against the chalk
That's right. While it's entirely possible to make a profit betting
to win, if your goal is to make real
money you're going to need to branch out into the exotics, or, you have
to bet against the favorites and go for longshots.
I've been fortunate to know and meet several professional horse
players over the years. I hate to burst your bubble, but none of them
bet favorites to win. They're afraid to tell the truth, because they don't want
smart bettors betting against them. Professional bettors tend to be
greedy. But if you're interested, I'll show you how to integrate
mathematically smart exotic wagering for maximum
profit.
Secret
#2: You have to use common sense
Even smart players make stupid mistakes (or used to). It
seems like every player has made the same mistakes at one time or
another. I remember one Saturday night at the Meadowlands a few years
ago, I liked longshots in the first and second leg of the pick 3. In the
3rd leg, I had a sure thing, a lock single that couldn't lose. I went 3
deep, 4 deep, and singled my lock in the 3rd leg in $2.00 Pick 3's. It
was only a $24.00 bet. Then I played my longshot keys for an extra
ticket, using 2 horses in each of the first two legs with my lock single
in the 3rd leg. This bet was only $8.00, so my total wager was $32.00,
and I had a chance to hit a longshot Pick 3 twice. In the first leg, one
of my prime longshots won and paid $27.00. In the 2nd leg, one of my
prime longshots won and paid $41.20. Coming into the 3rd and final leg,
I had a $4.00 ticket (with two bombs) on the 7-5 "lock."
Well, you know what happened. The 7-5 lock lost. My 2nd pick won and
paid $10.00 and the Pick 3 paid $6,800. But I didn't have it. Amazingly,
I made this same mistake several times. It was a Saturday night at the
Meadowlands, the night when chalk gets eaten alive! Almost all big
favorites on Saturday nights at the Meadowlands are bad bets--underlays--because
the races are so competitive. Fortunately, I've learned that the Diamond

know how to properly structure my tickets.

#3: You have to learn patience
Every real winner knows, if you don't have a
